1. The Body: It was
created to defend the rights of people with leprosy, care and
support needy families, children, adolescents and youth at social
risk. Our goal is to save lives, working to combat hunger, poverty,
malnutrition and anemia in children, caused by hunger, combat
social inequalities and poverty, illiteracy, prostitution and
exploitation of labor, child labor, donating in food supplies,
nonperishable food, powdered milk or long life, blankets, mattresses,
school supplies, shoes, clothes.
Restructuring of
Entity: In 2007, we decided to restructure the organization's
projects, because we conclude that our social work needed to
change in order that we watched leprosy victims and their families,
just what we were doing was simply a humanitarian service and
assistance. We concluded that we need new actions to revitalize
the project.
Given the circumstances
and after seeing young people, teenagers, children and dependents
of Leprosy, and victims of abandonment, prejudice, violence,
without employment, education, without prospects and without
hope. We fit to create a social inclusion project, which aims
to offer training courses and vocational programs for children
of leprosy patients and other people of the community.
The problem of our
community is poor education, many failed to consider to go to
the streets begging, the school is not a priority today, pay
a high price, lack of culture, knowledge, opportunities in the
labor market, suffer from prejudice and not having a job.
To keep the project activities: In need of donations in general.
Our organization has no profit or is connected to the political
party or religion, is to contribute to the strengthening of
citizenship.
We dedicate to humanitarian actions and activities aimed at
disseminating information on social rights and develop projects
aimed at children, youth and adolescents, minorities, the elderly
and persons with special needs.
We created a support
center: To meet patients with leprosy (a disease popularly known
as LEPRA) host, guide victims of abuse, victims of violent crimes,
homicides, making complaints to the Judicial and Human Rights
Commission, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, currently we
provide guidance, legal assistance, referrals to government
agencies and donations of wheelchairs, school supplies, crutches,
food, orthopedic products (shoes, boots, insoles).
When the socioeconomic
situation of the region: This is a community where the families
live below the poverty line, in poverty, excluded from society.
Families mostly: They are poor, living begging from door to
door, trying to survive and kill the hunger of their children.
In the region: We have no industries, people are without jobs,
culture, entertainment, education, therefore we believe that
the construction of community space, which will be transformed
into a school workshop, will be output to educate the youth
in the community.
Our social work: Its plea for solidarity and love of neighbor,
we do not have financial resources, the costs to maintain the
activities of the entity, are contributions from officers, members
and volunteers.
The organization has projects aimed at:
1) Strengthening
the citizenship of children and adolescents Guided by the Convention

a region suffering from discrimination because of leprosy, missing
opportunities, culture, leisure, suffer from high unemployment,
prostitution, illiteracy, truancy, medingancia, we want to offer
families the opportunity to change their own destiny and build
a better future for themselves and their children.
We found that women victims of leprosy, has been prostituted,
claiming that their children are starving. Meanwhile, their
children are getting the streets, leaving to go to school, increasing
the rate of children and adolescents with HIV - AIDS, truancy,
illiteracy, child prostitution. Many got involved with pedophiles,
use and trafficking of drugs, others lost their lives after
sexual conduct programs, others were victims of murder, torture
and sexual abuse.
The city of Betim
municipality is of extreme contradictions: rich and well-being
on the one hand, poverty and exploitation by others. We intend
to reach our solidarity and cooperation to all living in extreme
poverty and social exclusion.
It's extremely high rates of violence against women and we need
to do something many have suffered mutilation, lost their lives,
other injuries, have left their mark so deep, that they, alone
can not overcome the obstacles that life depleted by that need
treatment, guidance and referrals for treatment.

which reaches 28.5% of the economically active population. The
situation directly affects women.
The labor market has excluded both those older and younger women.
Faced with few options, trafficking, domestic violence and public
insecurity are some of the problems that affect the female audience.
The mobilization
and political pressure from the women's movement has an important
role in directing public resources to state policies that take
into account issues of gender and race discrimination, areas
that currently have fewer resources.
